Beautiful Sunday Afternoon

I think that maybe the winter blues are just about to be over. It is a beautiful afternoon. Watching the Daytona 500 and Wayne take a nap. Go figure.
Nine weeks till our long expected grand baby will be here. Wayne and I had so much fun shopping this weekend. I'd go into it but someone might be reading this........How in the world am I going to stand living 300 miles away. Thank goodness for Skype.
Well, instead of talking about this beautiful weather I think I'll go out and enjoy it. Have a great week.

Valentines Day

Well, I hope all you love birds got exactly what you wanted today. We had a nice quiet evening at home eating candy and watching TV. Our true Valentine present was to see Wayne's cousin, who is in the military home from Korea. We had "Thanksgiving" Saturday to celebrate. It was so good. Turkey taste just as good as it does in November and December. Angela, Zac and the pups came to visit and pick up the baby gifts. Had a good but quick visit with them. Today we also remember the two people we loved so much who demonstrated the greatest love. Seven years ago we buried this great love, but their memory lives on in our hearts. I had a friend tell me recently that she realized how fragile life is and didn't want to ever say "I wish I had......". So if I haven't told you lately I love you and appreciate you, I do.

Cold Winter Days

Well, we sit here on another cold, rainy, windy night with the fire going. Nice and cozy, but ready for dry weather and the sun. What a great baby shower we had for Angela last weekend, but sad that we had to "Skype" her in because of the bad weather. Lots of wonderful friends and family and fun baby gifts.
I am reading "Believing God", by Beth Moore. The first sentence I underlined was in the Introduction which read, Faith happens when believers believe. Don't we know lots of people, maybe even ourselves who believe in God, but have trouble believing Him. Is. 7:9 reads, "If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all" The only way we are going to impact the world and the next generation is to prove that our faith in Christ is real and that is works.
